Everybody is scared of something. Scared of making a mistake, of looking stupid, of people finding out you are not as good as they thought you are. Scared of being left alone, of nobody liking you, of being eternally unhappy.
I have a note hanging on a cork board next to the mirror I look into every morning. I wrote the note to myself to remind me about something I tend to forget very easily. It says “Stop talking nonsense!!! You can do ANYTHING you want!!!” (“ANYTHING” is underlined three times).
If you have ~30 min, please watch this talk given by Merlin Mann at Webstock, New Zealand, sometime earlier this year.
It won’t stop you from being scared, but maybe it will make you stop feeling sorry for yourself and finally get you out of that chair.
